Cardiovascular disease has a big impact on Australians. An estimated 1.2 million Australian adults aged 18 years and over had one or more conditions related to heart or vascular disease, including stroke, in 2017-2018 as reported from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). The most common and serious types of cardiovascular disease are:

  • coronary heart disease
  • stroke
  • heart failure.

So what can you do to reduce your risk of developing heart disease?
