One in four Australian women have experienced physical or sexual violence by an intimate partner. There is no excuse for violence.
The annual Walk Against Family Violence (WAFV) takes place on the United Nation’s Annual International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (25 November) and marks the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (25 November – 10 December) – an international campaign to take action to end violence against women and girls around the world.
North Richmond Community Health will be showing our support by hosting a local Walk Against Family Violence on Tuesday 29 November, to stand up against domestic and family violence, and violence against women. By joining us for the WAFV, you can help send a message across the community and wider, that family violence and violence against women is never okay.
We encourage everyone to wear ORANGE on the day to show your support.
