Groups and Events
Join us on Sorry Day, to heal and pay respects to our Indigenous communities
The day recognises the lasting impact of the forcible removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their homes and families, by the Commonwealth Government. As a result of the actions of government, welfare agencies and churches, much of the Stolen Generation lost access to their indigenous identities, heritage, and Country.
Lunar New Year festivities coming to Richmond
One of the year’s most exciting events will be back on next week. Once again, Victoria Street in Richmond will be hosting its annual Lunar New Year festival.
Reducing risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease with the Life! program
North Richmond Community Health is currently offering the Life! program, a five session lifestyle group program for people at risk of developing diabetes or cardiovascular disease.
Run by our expert Diabetes Educators, the program can provide you with the information, the motivation and the support to improve your health and maintain an active lifestyle.
On World AIDS Day, we recognise all affected by HIV/AIDS
Today, 1 December, is World AIDS today. It’s a day to commemorate those who have lost their lives to AIDS, to spread awareness of HIV/AIDS and support those living with HIV/AIDS.
This year, the theme is HIV is still here – and it’s on the move. There is always more to be done to help those living with HIV and AIDS, including raising awareness and combating stigma.
