Refugee Week 2022: Healing

Jun 17, 2022Latest News

Refugee Week, coordinated by Refugee Council of Australia, is Australia’s peak annual activity to inform the public about refugees and celebrate their positive contributions to Australian society.

Refugee Week 2022 launches this Sunday 19 June with a focus on “Healing”, A healing that promotes harmony and togetherness in our shared common humanity.

Healing can occur through storytelling, through community and through realisation of our intrinsic interconnectedness as individuals.

Over the coming days and weeks North Richmond Community Health (NRCH) staff, residents and communities, partners and stakeholders will come together to celebrate the ways in which people from refugee backgrounds enrich our communities and culture.

Through our events, programs, and community engagement activities, we will mark #RefugeeWeek2022 and showcase our efforts to teach others how to work effectively with refugees, migrants, asylum seekers and all community members.

Honouring Richmond’s vibrant and dynamic Vietnamese Australian community tomorrow Saturday 18 June 2022, will be one of the many NRCH events taking place to mark this year’s celebrations.

Please see flyer below of events NRCH are involved in and will be hosting.
