North Richmond Community Health is a proud APIC onference Knowledge Partner with five staff members presenting their work at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre between 11 to 13 November.

Senior Dentist Kavitha Sivasithamparam will present our Pearly Whites program at a symposium led by our Oral Health Manager Rachel Martin. The workshop will address Integrating Oral and General Health Care in Australia and use Aged Care to demonstrate essential elements of this global issue. Ana Ivanovic will join the panel of stakeholders from around the country to discuss the contribution of oral health to the general health and quality of life for those living in residential aged care facilities. The symposium will produce essential elements of a consensus statement for the integration of Oral Health with general health care. It will conclude with the Deputy Secretary for Population Health, Sport and Aged Care Quality, Dr Lisa Studdert highlighting the link between this important area of health within the current policy landscape.
At 5:30pm on Tuesday 12 November, Rachel Martin will help launch Network for Integration of Oral Health (NIOH). This launch will initiate the development of the Oral Health Special Interest Group of the International Foundation for Integrated Care. NIOH was founded through the work of North Richmond Community Health and partners, and stakeholders from the North Richmond Community Health conference series Where the Mind Meets the Mouth.
