North Richmond Community Health’s Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Outreach and Community Engagement Service is a team of dedicated staff who work with people experiencing health and social problems in North Richmond. We also engage with community members and local business owners to raise issues, provide feedback, and for connecting with the wider community.

Our service operates within the heart of North Richmond, focusing on the the North Richmond Housing Precinct. We provide care coordination, direct support, referrals, and follow-up to people who have complex health and social needs in areas such as:

  • Drug and alcohol
  • Physical and mental health
  • Housing and homelessness
  • Legal matters
  • Food and financial insecurity

Phone calls from the community can include:

  • self-referrals from clients
  • referrals from external services on behalf of a client
  • input from community members who have been affected by social issues relating to PWUD in the North Richmond community.
