North Richmond Community Health is sad to say farewell to Dr Martin Hall, who has been with our organisation for 20 years. But we are also proud of all the work Dr Hall has done with our community, and are glad to see that his contributions will be shared across the state as Chief Oral Health Advisor for Dental Health Services Victoria.
When Dr Hall began working with North Richmond Community Health, our dental program had two chairs and a handful of staff. The team now comprises of 40 incredible individuals, and under Dr Hall’s leadership, has become known across the country as a leader in public oral health.
Dr Hall’s innovative, collaborative model of oral health practice was recognised in 2013 by Dental Health Services Victoria with the Public Oral Heath Award for Innovation. His contribution was also highlighted last year, with Dr Hall receiving the Star of Public Dentistry award.
At North Richmond Community Health, we’ve been able to share our oral health program’s innovative approaches through our conference series, Where the Mind Meets the Mouth. We’ve also trained more than 100 clinicians across the country in the Hall Technique, a technique which helps kids receive treatment for cavities. These projects, which have impacted countless people, would not have been possible without Dr Martin Hall’s leadership and support. We congratulate Dental Health Services Victoria for welcoming Dr Hall, and wish him all the best.
