Next Friday 28 July is World Hepatitis Day. This day is dedicated to advancing the global elimination of hepatitis and also recognizing those taking action against hepatitis in their own lives and communities.
The theme Hepatitis Can’t Wait, highlights the importance of urgency to eliminate hepatitis. Australia has committed to eliminating hepatitis B and hepatitis C by 2030. We have a vaccine for hepatitis B, and for hepatitis C, we have a cure. With the right support, we can ensure every person in Australia has access to the appropriate information, support, testing and care to reach this target by 2030.
North Richmond Community Health will be acknowledging World Hepatitis Day through a community event. This is an opportunity to provide information and resources about hepatitis to the community.
