NDIS Funding for Child Health and Development
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) are Government insurance schemes. They provide support for Australian children with disabilities, and their families and carers.
Our Child Health and Development team provides the following services through NDIS funding:
Eligibility
Children who:
- Are aged 0 – 12 years old
- Live in and/or attend an education setting (school, kindergarten etc) in the City of Yarra or surrounding suburbs
- Have a current NDIS plan or ECEI plan.
How we work
Our Child Health and Development team will meet with you and your child to gather information about your child’s strengths, interests, development and areas of support.
We use this information and assessment to form goals and strategies to reach them.
Our team works using a neuroaffirming approach, celebrating your child’s interests and prioritising their preferences.
Your child will be paired with a Key Worker who:
- develops your child’s goals
- can link you in with other supports
- can deliver intervention in environments where your child lives, learns or plays.
NDIS services are tailored to your child’s individual goals and can include low or moderate supports. Examples include therapy, parent coaching, collaborating with school to build your child’s functional capacity.
Other services for your child
Our goal is to help your family receive the best care possible. If you would like to find out more about other services the Child Health and Development team have to offer visit Child Health and Development.
