I am pleased to announce the appointment of Simone Heald as the new CEO of North Richmond Community Health (NRCH). Simone will commence with us in August 2023 and brings outstanding qualifications in community health leadership.
Simone is the current CEO of Sunraysia Community Health Services (SCHS), and has over 35 years of health experience, particularly in the community and social health sector. She is a passionate advocate for addressing the social determinants of health through initiatives targeting social and health inequities in local communities. Simone has a strong track record of building authentic and mutually beneficial partnerships that directly influence community outcomes.
Simone will assume the leadership of NRCH and carry forward the achievements of the previous CEO, Patricia Collocott, who in April resigned after almost three years with us.
The board celebrates the achievements we saw under Trish’s solid leadership including a strengthened organisational structure, increased responsiveness to the needs of the local community, and NRCH’s outstanding COVID response which saw over 3,000 public housing residents supported through education and outreach.
Following Trish’s departure, experienced governance consultant and director, Paul Geyer, assumed the role of interim CEO. He will remain in the role until Simone commences in August.
We look forward to welcoming Simone as we head into our 50th year of providing comprehensive health and social supports to the North Richmond community.
