North Richmond Community Health (NRCH) is proud to present the Yarra Coffee Festival 2023*.

The Yarra Coffee Festival will be the first of its kind, held in the Richmond Housing Estate, in the City of Yarra, and it will be a celebration of Melbourne’s love for coffee.

Coffee gives us something to bond over and transcends language and culture in a multicultural community. For many of the residents living on the estate, coffee is a key part of their culture. Different communities of the estate will be able to showcase how they experience coffee culturally, with each other, and with members of the broader community.

The way coffee is made, served, and consumed reflects the lives and traditions of people from different countries and the importance of coffee across the world, and especially here in Melbourne. Melbourne’s coffee culture is part of our shared culture. Our mutual love for coffee and its culture, brings us all together.

Traditional coffee makers will showcase their traditions alongside contemporary coffee makers at the Yarra Coffee Festival. So, come taste the coffee with us and stay on to enjoy the festival:

  • Traditional coffee making-demonstration (Timorese, Vietnamese, Somali, Ethiopian, Turkish, Australian, and more)
  • Coffee tastings
  • Cultural performances and entertainment
  • Kids activities
  • Health checks
  • Food available
