VicHealth is backing organisations to JumpStart! their community-led initiatives around active play, food and art. All across the state. From a share of $3.75M.
And ours is one of them!
NRCH will be partnering with Cultivating Community, local Neighbourhood Houses (BANH Neighbourhood Houses and Collingwood), Yarra Youth Services, Yarra Libraries, Kids’ Own Publishing, and local schools to engage community groups and members to develop Food and Culture Festivals at each of the City of Yarra public housing estates – Richmond, Collingwood and Fitzroy.
What other kinds of initiatives are funded?
- Programs that will tackle racism through safe and inclusive sport.
- Cooking classes designed to connect young people with their cultural heritage.
- Toy libraries to provide families with access to educational resources for their little ones.
All of this and MUCH more, to support the health and wellbeing of Victoria’s young people.
