Int Volunteer Year 2026

The United Nations has declared 2026 International Volunteer Year, in recognition of the amazing impact volunteers have. At North Richmond Community Health (NRCH), our wonderful volunteers help strengthen and support our community everyday.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is a great way to:

  • Contribute to our local community
  • Build new connections
  • Develop new skills and confidence

Strong social connections have been shown to support mental health and wellbeing, and at NRCH, volunteers play an important role in helping people feel connected and included.

Volunteers also bring new skills, experiences, and perspectives, helping NRCH provide inclusive, innovative, and thriving services for the community.

Current Opportunities

If you’re keen to join us soon, we currently are seeking a Gardener to help us care for and maintain our gardening area, share their gardening knowledge, encourage others to get involved, and create a welcoming space for everyone.
