Ethnicity to Equity: A New Name to Reflect the Future

The Centre for Culture, Ethnicity & Health (CEH), a program of North Richmond Community Health, has a new name: the Centre for Culture, Equity & Health.

As CEH’s work has evolved, the name change more accurately reflects their focus on promoting fairness, inclusion, and better outcomes across communities. Equity recognises that not everyone starts from the same place, , and that achieving fair outcomes often requires different approaches.

While the name has changed, CEH’s commitment to multicultural communities remains the same. They work across a range of sectors – including health, education, community services, government, and corporate – providing support and leadership in cultural equity, collaboration and community wellbeing.

Looking ahead, CEH will continue to bring together evidence, lived experience and practical expertise to support more equitable outcomes. Their new name reflects this work and CEH remain committed to working with communities and partners.
