This week, from March 17th to 23rd, we recognize Cultural Diversity Week – an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the diverse backgrounds that enrich our community. This year’s theme – Embrace the Journey, Shape Our Future – invites us to appreciate our own cultural experiences and those of others, strengthening connection and understanding.
At North Richmond Community Health, ‘embracing diversity’ is not just one of our values – it’s a fundamental part of who we are. Over 70% of North Richmond estate residents come from multicultural backgrounds, and our workforce mirrors this vibrant diversity. We are committed to inclusion, equity, and accessible healthcare that meets the diverse needs of our community.
As Cultural Diversity Week coincides with Ramadan again this year, we have decided to hold our celebration in April to ensure as many people as possible can take part.
In the meantime, we encourage everyone to take a moment to celebrate the cultures around them. Whether it’s sharing a meal, learning about a new tradition, or simply engaging in meaningful conversations, every small action contributes to a more inclusive and connected community.
