Carers Lunch

North Richmond Community Health (NRCH) is hosting a Connecting Carers Lunch recognises and celebrates the essential work of people providing informal care to a loved one living with disability, mental illness, or a chronic medical condition.

When: Friday 2 May, from 12pm
Where: North Richmond Community Hub, 110 Elizabeth Street

This free event celebrates the essential – and often under-recognised – role of carers in our community. While caring can be deeply meaningful, it can also lead to stress, isolation, and burnout. Many carers aren’t aware of the help available to them.

Join us for a relaxed lunch and hear from Juniper (from NRCH’s Ageing Well Service) and Graciela (from NRCH’s Counselling Team) about the support services available to carers at North Richmond Community Health. Many carers don’t realise they can access free counselling, practical help, and links to further support like the Carer Gateway, which offers tailored assistance such as financial aid, upskilling opportunities, peer support, and respite care.

Whether you’re new to caring or have been doing it for years, this is a chance to connect with others, learn more about available services, and feel appreciated.
