One of the year’s most exciting events will be back on next week. Once again, Victoria Street in Richmond will be hosting its annual Lunar New Year festival.

This year’s event, celebrating the start of the Year of the Rooster, will include a range of activities on Sunday 22 January. These include the Tet Factor Contest, Victoria Street’s version of X Factor. Competitors will be racing to finish a bowl of pho for a $1,000 prize, playing in the Victoria St Ice Coffee Race and participating in the Otao Kitchen Dumpling Party.

On the main stage, there will be performances from Vietnamese opera singers, dance groups, martial artists and presentations by community members, including local state member, the Hon. Richard Wynne MP.
